Austria Business Hours
The business hours in Austria are permitted between as early as 5am to 9pm at night from Monday to Friday, and till 6pm on Saturdays. Actual opening hours for shops, departmental stores, supermarkets, etc. may however vary. Generally they are open around 9am and close at about 6pm on weekdays. On Saturdays they are closed between 1pm to 5pm. Shops located in Austria's busy tourist areas remain open for as long as 11pm.
Austria's government institutions and banking hours are from 8am to 12.30pm and from 1.30pm to 3pm on weekdays (Thursdays extend till 5.30pm). Money exchanges are open till 10pm in Austria. Pharmacies and petrol stations follow similar working hours, however some may remain open for 24 hours in Austria.
